Custom Portrait Consultation

I love creating portriats. Each piece has its own particular energy and requires its own specific journey, so I try to trust the process. 

I usually ask clients to send me a reference photo that is clear, interesting, and well-composed. I'm also open to working from life instead (some of the examples here are from life, not from photos) or taking the initial photo myself (for folks who are local). 

Archival and/or lightfast materials are used: 9" x 12" Arches watercolor paper, Uniball pen, and acrylic wash. For watercolor portraits, I usually use Winsor & Newton professional watercolor paint. I'm open to workign with other sizes and materials.
